The executive committee of the Canadian Optimist Dinghy Association ("CODA") is proposing a change to the association's bylaw dealing with the selection of sailors to teams participating at various international events organized by the International Optimist Dinghy Association ("IODA").

The 37 Lake Garda Meeting wrapped up last week in Italy-.

2 sailors represented Canada at the event with great results!

Claire Ramsey (RNSYS) and Mats Braaten (PCYC) competed at the biggest one design regatta in the world in a week with perfect conditions and an amazing and competitve fleet that had representatives from 42 countries. 

For all training and racing days, the winds were between 10-18 knots with choppy waters and temperatures between 15-24C.

Many CAN Optimist sailors from all regions trained in Miami this March. 

Miami is known as the meca of sailing in the Northern Hemisphere during the winter and once again, it received our crew with optimal sailing conditions.
