2022 Coach Selection for IODA Events

By April 4, 2022April 5th, 2022No Comments

After an extensive application and interview process, the International Teams Committee is pleased to announce coaches for 2022 IODA events. The ITC chose coaches based on an elaborate matrix of criteria, including but not limited to: experience, familiarization with team members, coaching innovation, future development, event preference and passion. Each coach will return from the events with the intention of sharing knowledge and best practices with other Canadian coaches.

CODA has worked to fall more in line with other national Opti organizations, taking the lead in choosing team coaches with several goals in mind. This was a decision of the last year’s ITC that was ratified by the former board. Our goal is to enrich as many coaches as possible, whilst helping our Canadian teams attain a high level of success at each IODA event. Each event has a coach, a team leader and a chaperone, and it is policy that male and females are represented within each leadership group.
